It's been confirmed the Island's 999 system went ‘offline’ for a 'short period of time' yesterday morning.
In a post on social media, police say it was down to a technical fault.
Engineers from the communications division, along with Manx Telecom and Sure, fixed the issues and it was back up and running shortly after.
