An Island nurse who forged a doctor's signature on botox prescriptions has been struck off.
Seana Rose-Ann Balakrishna of Glen Vine was disciplined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council after she signed more than 150 prescriptions between 2011 and 2013 when she worked at the Cosmetic Medical Centre on Victoria Street in Douglas.
The allegations came to light when an anonymous letter was sent to the doctor and a pharmacy in the Channel Islands, and the fitness to practice hearing was told she'd consistently put profit before patient safety and run a fraudulent business.
The NMC struck her off the register.
The business on Victoria Street has since changed name and is under new management.
