The average house price on the Isle of Man is nearly £50K more than England.
The Isle of Man is one of the most expensive places in the British Isles to buy a house, according to official statistics.
Recent government data shows the average house price on the island to be nearly £50,000 more than in England.
On the island, the average house price has risen to £313,000, while in England, according to the Office of National Statistics, it is £267,000.
In Wales it is £178,000, in Scotland £164,000 and in Northern Ireland it is £148,000.
However it is still cheaper to buy a house on the Isle of Man than in Jersey where the average house price is £518,000.
