Inquest opens into death of local racer today

The inquest into the death of a local racer will be opened at Douglas Courthouse today.

46-year-old Gary Carswell - who was from Ramsey -died last Saturday following a collision at Jurby Motodrome.  
 
He was a well-known figure in local racing - having competed in both the TT and Senior Manx Grand Prix. 
 
Coroner of Inquests John Needham will start proceedings at 9.15am.
