A mum who died after her partner hit her on the first day of their Isle of Man holiday died as a result of unlawful killing, an inquest has found.
57 year old Jillian Hughes died in March after John Meadows attacked her, a hearing at the Gerard Majella Courthouse in Liverpool heard this week.
Coroner of inquests André Rebello found she'd died from an unlawful and dangerous act that caused death.
In October Meadows, of Verney Crescent in Allerton, was sent to prison for five years and eight months after admitting manslaughter.
