Fewer trees are getting the axe, according to the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
In Tynwald this week, Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse asked how many trees the department planted and felled in 2010, 2015 and 2017.
In response, Minister Geoffrey Boot revealed almost 11,000 fewer trees were planted in 2017, compared to 2010.
But he also revealed the number of trees being felled has also fallen, from 16,500 in 2010 to just 10,000 last year.
