Ignite passion, not candles, say firefighters

Don't let your date get too hot this Valentine's Night!

That's the warning from the Island's Fire and Rescue Service as the traditionally romantic night approaches.

It says if you're lighting candles to enhance the mood, you should make sure they're properly out before bedtime.

On Facebook, firefighters say battery candles are better - to ensure you only have to worry about passions igniting!
