St John's will get an ice rink this Christmas, after Tynwald Mills vowed to go ahead with the facility.
The business had applied to put up a temporary marquee holding the rink - which has been running for four years - but was turned down by planners.
Now, however, the company has announced on Facebook the rink will open on December 9.
It says it's taking bookings through its website iceskate.im
