Almost £270,000 has been spent on installing public electric vehicle charging points on the Island.
The figure comes from Manx Utilities Chair Tim Johnston, who says it costs an average of £3,094 per charging socket.
85 charging sockets have so far been installed in various locations across the Island.
Manx Utilities has applied for funding from Climate Change Fund to increase the number of rapid charging units.
