The Company Registry says more than 400 companies will be removed in eight weeks' time.
Registrar General Edward Clague released a list of Island-registered firms that will come off the list in two months.
They include the former owner of Isle of Man Newspapers, the Mannin Media Group, and Hawkins BBQ, which ran a well-known catering van until last January.
In total, 424 companies will be removed unless representations are made to the registry.
