Peel coastguards were called out to what a walker thought was a grisly discovery on a beach.
A member of the public reported they'd found what appeared to be human remains on a beach in the west of the Island.
Police attended and found more bones, which were sent to a UK pathologist - who found they weren't human after all, but were more likely to belong to a seal.
Coastguards have thanked the member of the public for their vigilance, saying it's better to be safe than sorry!
