The health minister says Manx Care's already taking action to ease pressures on bed space at Noble's Hospital.
Claire Christian responded in Tynwald this week to an urgent question from Onchan MHK Julie Edge.
It comes after a meeting between the health service and a committee of medics, who raised concerns about the number of beds available.
