A newsletter stating the horse trams would not be continuing past the war memorial on Douglas promenade was wrong.
That's according to the government, it comes following an update on the Douglas prom refurbishment scheme - it stated the horse tram track was ending at the war memorial.
However, now a Department of Infrastructure spokesperson has insisted this was ’incorrect information’.
It said ’The project has now resumed under a revised schedule, the intention is for the track to reach Broadway at least by the end of March 2021.'
It also added work required to install the track further south will be completed in due course, but no provisional date has been given for when this will be.
