Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper says he'll defend his seat during this year's election.
He was first elected to the House of Keys in 2016, and was re-elected in 2021.
In a post on his website, he says supporting the town has been a privilege, and he's humbled by the trust placed in him.
The Isle of Man will go to the polls on Thursday, September 24.
