A Douglas nursery says high demand means it wants to increase the number of children it looks after by around 30 per cent.
When it was set up, Crossroads Nursey on Victoria Avenue looked after 12 children but applied to increase its numbers to 18 in 2015.
Now, the charity has applied to up that figure to 24.
In its application, it says it's the only facility for children under five with care needs and some families risk having no childcare because other nurseries can't care for them.
