A 26-foot high heron could soon be watching over Castletown harbour.
The town's commissioners have applied for permission to place a steel statue at the Thirtle Bridge.
In their application, they say it would form part of the Silverburn Art Trail and attract visitors to the town.
Created by Stephanie Quayle and Darren Jackson, the statue has been funded by a grant from the Manx Lottery Trust.
