Heavy Snow Forces Road Closures Across Island
Heavy Snowfall overnight has led to numerous road closures across the Island, with the police urging motorists to only make essentiall journeys.
Currently the Mountain Road, the Ballamodha, the Peel Coast Road from Ballahane Road to Douglas Road Corner, the section of the TT course from Ballig Bridge to Douglas Road corner, Richmond Hill and the Mount Murray Back Road to Cooil Roundabout and the Switchback road are all closed.
The Laxey Coast Road is currently deemed virtually inpassable, with heavy traffic and numerous abandoned vehicles.
All the buses have been cancelled this morning with a review set for later this morning.
The DOT currently have gritters out trying to deal with the snow and get the roads in a better shape. Stay tuned to 3FM for more details.
