 
                            Police say they're aware of hackers targeting the e-mail accounts of Island businesses in the last few days.
According to officers, cyber criminals have then sent messages to customers requesting deposits for orders are paid directly to suppliers rather than the companies themselves.
Authorities warn whilst the e-mail will have come from the business it won't have actually been sent by them.
As a result, the constabulary says if you've had a message requesting payment to a 'suppliers account' to make direct contact with the firm they've ordered from to verify any requests.
