Guild founder Mary Louisa Wood looks set to be honoured by Tynwald.
When the court sits in June, it'll consider adding her to the Manx Patriots' Roll of Honour, which recognises those who've made an outstanding contribution to Manx life.
Born in Manchester, she taught at Douglas High School and ran the Isle of Man Fine Arts and Industrial Guild for the first time in 1892.
Tynwald is due to sit from Tuesday, June 16 in Legislative Buildings in Douglas.
