Development of the Island's medicinal cannabis sector will be cautious and measured, according to the enterprise minister.
Tim Johnston was asked to give an update on the sector in Tynwald by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover.
He said there's currently one company with a licence to produce medicinal cannabis on Island, which has planning permission for a facility in the south, but is still seeking funding for operations.
Mr Johnston also explained the challenges for growth as the Island promotes itself as a potential market for the companies:
