GPs will be out of office next week whilst they attend their final education session of the year.
Four times a year the doctors meet to discuss and learn about a range of topics.
This time they'll be discussing anxiety management, education for people with diabetes and how to reduce the amount of antibiotics prescribed.
The sessions were established to give GPs the opportunity to discuss developments in medical care and best practice.
Routine appointments won't be available on Wednesday afternoon - urgent appointments can be made with on-call GPs; anyone needing to see a doctor should call their practice as normal.
Surgeries will be open for patients to visit the practice nurse, collect test results, order repeat prescriptions and make future appointments.
