The government looks set to release a special coin marking 100 years of the Manx Grand Prix.
When Tynwald sits later this month, members will be asked to approve a new £2 coin with an image of the AB Crookall trophy given to senior MGP winners.
This year's festival marks the centenary event, with special celebrations planned for the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The race event was first held in 1923, when it was known as the Manx Amateur Road Races.
