The government is encouraging the public to keep 'well and warm' during the cold weather.
In a statement, it says older people and those with existing conditions are particularly at risk, as cold temperatures can affect the body's abiliity to fight illness.
It comes as temperatures across the Island are currently as low as -6.
People are also being reminded to look out for vulnerable neighbours and family members who may be worried about energy costs.
Government says people 'should not be afraid to put their heating on,' and is reminding those who use electricity that prices are frozen until the end of March 2023.
Advice on staying warm and well over winter can be found on the government website, and numerous warm spaces are available across the Island.
