The government won't reveal how much it pays the person who books movies for the Broadway Cinema in Douglas.
A Freedom of Information request to the Department of Education, Sport and Culture asked how much the facility's film booker is paid.
But the department said revealing the figure could give a commercial advantage to competing cinemas.
In its refusal, it said protecting the commercial interests of the private sector outweighed accountability and transparency issues.
