Government promotes careers in civil engineering

More people are being encouraged to sign up for a career in civil engineering.

The Isle of Man is taking part in a UK wide campaign which underlines the contribution that the sector makes to the Island's infrastructure.

Every time a person turns on a tap, switches on a light, catches a train or crosses a road they are benefiting from civil engineering.

Gary Saunders is construction manager at the Department of Infrastructure - he says it's often overlooked:
