The government is in denial about the harsh realities being felt by local businesses and their employees.
That's according to the Chamber of Commerce, in response to this year's budget.
The network feels the financial plans will make the Isle of Man a less attractive option for those overseas, and increases the tax burden for many workers.
However, Chamber does acknowledge positives such as help for workers needing childcare.
