Government have raised an additional £5 million for their reserves after a selling off of a number of surplus assets.
The Strategic Asset Management Unit is charged with the task of identifying the properties and land assets no longer needed by government and finding buyers for them.
With land and vacant commercial properties already sold off there are still a number of assets that could generate large amounts of money, the Summerland site and Victoria Road prison are seen as key locations.
