An unsuccessful General Election candidate has announced his intention to stand as a commissioner.
Anthony Allen says he wants to demonstrate his 'on-going commitment' to the people of Onchan, politics and public service.
He's hoping to be elected to the local authority on November 10th - voting on that date takes place at the Community Centre on School Road.
Mr Allen says commissioners need focussed, experienced people who can make decisions that are 'considered and in the best interests of everyone'.
