Inflation rose last month, according to the latest figures from the government.
The Consumer Prices Index went up from 3.8 per cent in January to 4.4 per cent in February.
The Cabinet Office says rises in the price of fuel and travel were primarily to blame for the jump.
Over the past 12 months, the data shows household equipment rose by more than 21 per cent, while air travel prices rose by more than 20 per cent.
