Social media fraudsters are impersonating Island news outlets in adverts which spark virus warnings when they’re clicked on.
Facebook users have reported seeing news stories purporting to be from Isle of Man news sites.
However, they’re paid-for adverts from a page called EE News set up in July.
The ads carry headlines about journalists – but when clicked, trigger virus warnings.
