A man’s been jailed for four weeks after admitting breaching lockdown laws last year.
Enzi Kimble, formerly Samuel Anthony Walker, of Tynwald Street in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 22-year-old admitted a single count of failing to adhere to public health regulations prohibiting unnecessary movement on March 9 last year.
Further charges of stealing a motorbike, burgling a neighbour’s home and carrying a lock knife were withdrawn by the prosecution.
The court heard police had been searching for Kimble in connection with an ongoing investigation but he wasn’t at home, and was spotted out on the streets by officers.
At the time, the Island was subject to a strict lockdown.
After hearing Kimble had already spent almost nine weeks in prison, Mrs Hughes imposed a four-week jail term meaning he’d already served his time while on remand.
