A former strong critic of the TT says he now pities the event.
Bernard Moffatt of the Celtic League posted to Facebook, saying the event has become corporate compared to its amateur feel in the past.
After saying in the past it should be banned, he now says the event is built on revenue streams instead of passion.
And he added "Twenty years ago I derided the event. Now I rather pity it!"
