Work is due to get underway demolishing a former school in Douglas next week.
Ballacloan School on Demesne Road is due to be used as a temporary car park and storage area for contractors carrying out work on the nearby Nurse's Home on Westmoreland Road.
Last July, the Manx Development Corporation was given permission to tear down the school to make way for the project.
Parking on the unnamed road leading to Crookall House behind the school will be restricted from January 9 until March 10 while work takes place.
