Former chief minister Tony Brown has been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for his long and distinguished career in politics.
He has been awarded an OBE for his public and political service.
The former Castletown MHK served in a number of ministerial roles throughout his time in government with stints as both the Speaker of the House of Keys and latterly the chief minister.
He says the honour is as much for the people of Castletown as it is for him:
