The MHK for Castletown has tabled a motion in Tynwald on food production in the Isle of Man.
Richard Ronan wants to see a plan developed to increase GDP from locally grown, sourced and processed food to 7 per cent by 2025.
It's being directed at the Minister for Environment, Food and Agriculture.
The increase would represent a four-fold increase in agriculture, food and drink manufacturing - which was highlighted in the 2011 National Income Accounts.
Mr Ronan says it's important to grow this sector of the economy:
Ramsey looking for four new commissioners
Strang Stores applies for extension permission
Tynwald petition advice is free - but you'll need to act soon!
Midnight closing for new Indian restaurant in Castletown?
Tynwald to hear about Ramsey hospital reopening
Superdrug to open beauty salon in summer
MHK to query regulation for funeral directors
Road closures announced for Sprintfest - but no Ramsey Sprint again?
