Buying local and supporting Manx food producers will help to support the Manx economy going forward.
That's the message from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture which says the benefits of sourcing food and drink locally shouldn't be underestimated.
On Saturday the heats for the I Love Manx Chef of the Year competition will take place at a Mini Manx Food Market event in Braddan.
