 
                            Fishing enthusiasts are encouraged to get a license for the new season in January.
The new inland fishing season will soon be here and with it plenty of opportunities to cast off at six picturesque and well-stocked reservoirs.
The new 2024 licence season is set to open with coarse fishing from 1st January, reservoir fishing from 10 March, and other waters from 1 April.
Licences for the reservoir and other waters 2024 period will go on-sale as usual from February.
The money raised helps the department to stock the reservoirs with trout, protect against poaching and conserve important habitat.
