Manx salmon and trout populations have remained reasonably stable over the last 10 years.
That’s according to a new freshwater fisheries report which studies how the fish are thriving in our rivers and streams.
The study reveals that of the ten sites studied most contain at least average densities of trout – with some scoring above average.
Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne says the good news could even be a welcome boost for the tourism industry:
