The Island's Fire Service is highlighting the importance of fire alarms following an incident in Douglas.
Crews responded to a house fire on Wednesday morning, after reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding.
Using thermal imaging equipment, the team found a small fire in the front room of the flat on Mona Drive, which they then put out.
The service says the early warning from the fire alarm resulted in the quick action and minimal fire damage.
It's added that an investigation is underway to find the cause of the blaze, but it's not thought to be malicious.
