Fire crews were called to a house fire in Douglas this morning.
Officers arrived at an address in Willaston to find a kitchen fire, which they put out with a hose reel.
A ventilation fan was then used to clear smoke from the house.
The Fire and Rescue Service said the incident highlights the importance of working smoke alarms.
