Emergency services were called to an incident in the north of the Island in the early hours of this morning.
At 7am Ramsey fire crews responded to reports of a flat fire at a property in Ramsey.
Residents had reported smoke coming from an electrical meter box.
Upon arrival, the occupants of the building had evacuated and the fire had been put out and the crew stayed there for 30 minutes until Manx Utilities arrived and made sure the electrics were safe.
Emergency services are reminding the public smoke detectors save lives and if you hears yours to leave the building safely and immediately.
