A Douglas man has been fined after being caught breaking the speed limit by almost 30mph.
Police stopped 33-year-old Marcin Julian Duzalski, of Sherwood Terrace, on September 6th .
They’d clocked him travelling at 69mph in a 40mph limit near Hillberry on the Mountain Road.
He told officers at the scene: “I was starting to slow down but not quickly enough.”
Duzalski admitted the offence via Coroner’s Admission.
Magistrates fined him £290 and ordered him to pay £50 in prosecution costs; his licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.
