A drink driver from the UK has been fined £900 and banned from the roads for two years.
Thomas John Price, from Rugeley in Staffordshire, was caught outside the Sea Terminal on June 10.
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes heard the 30 year old was twice over the limit when police saw him drive his BMW into the car park at high speed.
He was spoken to by officers, who smelled alcohol on his breath.
Price's advocate told the court he'd been living in Onchan with his girlfriend, but got into an argument in the early hours of the morning.
Price decided to leave the Island on the ferry and drove to Douglas to wait for it, despite drinking earlier that night.
At police headquarters, a blood sample showed he was twice the legal limit for driving.
Mrs Hughes said she'd given him credit for his guilty plea and for cooperating with police - but noted he'd previously been convicted of driving offences in 2009.
She imposed a £900 fine, ordered him to pay £125 costs and banned him from driving for two years - after which he'll have to retake a driving test.
