The Financial Services Authority says 16 of its workers earn more than £60,000.
But the regulatory body for the Island's finance sector says it won't name its highest earners because it's personal information.
A freedom of information request asked the FSA to name all those who earned more than £60,000 a year.
In its response, the organisation adds it publishes all its financial information in an annual report which is laid before Tynwald.
