A farm in Port St Mary's applied for planning permission to replace glamping pods with shepherd's huts.
Derek and Jane Cain of Glendown Farm on Truggan Road were given permission for the pods in 2014.
But the couple say with so many glamping sites on the Isle of Man, they want to offer something different - and have now applied for retrospective permission for the huts.
They say because the huts are mobile and on wheels, they hadn't realised they would need planning permission for them.
