Staff and pupils will be "expected" to wear face masks in schools on the Isle of Man.
It is one of a number of new restrictions introduced on the Isle of Man following the detection of the Omicron virus in the UK.
Isolation and testing rules will also be tightened at the island's border with anyone travelling to the island from outside the Common Travel Area having to isolate and take a Covid-19 test.
The new rules come in at 04:00 on 30 November.
From this time, mask wearing will be compulsory on public transport and within health care settings- elsewhere it will be "expected but not mandatory".
