The Isle of Man Football Association says it’s shocked and disappointed after violence flared at a match between Laxey and St Johns at the weekend.
Four men have been arrested and bailed by police investigating incidents which took place before, during and after the game in Laxey.
The FA says it’s now received the referee’s report and will commence disciplinary procedures.
It also says it will cooperate fully with the police if and when required.
Officials say fortunately this situation is rare on the Island with many games taking place every single weekend, usually without any problems.
