Half a million pounds is being taken from next year's Budget so that maintence work can be carried out on public sector housing.
That's in addition to the £1.6 million already paid out this year - it's in an effort to complete works over the winter period.
Work is expected to start in November and run through until March next year on estates in Jurby, Rushen, Laxey and St John's.
