'Evidence mounting' operations are being cancelled to save cash, says MHK

Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper's asking people to contact him if they've been told their operations have been cancelled to save cash.

On Facebook earlier, he claimed he'd heard of cancelled theatre lists and patients being told funding was unavailable.

Earlier today, Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher had a question in the House of Keys for Health Minister Claire Christian about possible funding cuts but was told she'd be given a written answer because Mrs Christian was ill.

Mr Hooper says anecdotal evidence of heathcare cutbacks is starting to mount despite a lack of information from official channels - and says people should contact him if it's happening to them.
