What was the population of Peel in 1989? That’s the question Peel and Glenfaba MHK Kate Lord-Brennan wanted answering.
In a written reply, the Cabinet Office said figures for that exact year aren’t available.
However, it provided data from the five-yearly censuses, showing that the population of the Sunset City has risen by 130% since 1961.
Between 1991 and 2021- a period closer to the year in question - the population grew by 47%, from 3,829 in 1991 to 5,710 in 2021.
